Trump, announced the news of his future grandchild at a campaign stop at the Detroit Economic Club on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 10.
His 30-year-old daughter, Tiffany, whom he shares with ex-wife Marla Maples, is expecting with her 27-year-old husband, Michael Boulos.
Trump shared the news with the audience after recognizing his daughter's father-in-law, Dr. Massad Boulos in the crowd.
"He happens to be the father of Tiffany's husband, Michael, who's a very exceptional young guy," the former president said. "And she's an exceptional young woman. And she's going to have a baby. So that's nice."
Tiffany herself had not shared the happy news publicly at the time of this event.
Tiffany Trump and Boulos, who is the son of a wealthy Lebanese family with businesses in Nigeria, married at Mar-a-Lago in Nov. 2022.
Tiffany is a UPenn graduate with a degree in Sociology.
